His other name is “Hudson”. We’re not sure why he’s obsessed with having a new name. But what we do know is that he is a visionary extraordinaire. A reputable church planters organization assessed Pastor Won Jae as being a chuch-planting mastermind. With an extreme talent for out-of-the-box creativity and the ability to cast strategic visions for the long-term, Pastor Won Jae can lead the church and its people to see a picture of the Kingdom of God they could only scarcely imagine before. Link this with a passion for the gospel, and you have a leader who can compel a body of believers to strive to affect an entire generation.

Pastor Kee’s dream is to sit in a cabin high atop a beautiful mountain range reading, writing and thinking his days away. Nevertheless, God has called him to be a pastor who uses his love for knowledge to help modern people navigate the intellectual maze of the contemporary world. He loves all things sci-fi, including Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica and Firefly. So don’t be surprised to hear geeked-out references in his sermons.

An extrovert by nature and pastoral counselor by training, Pastor John loves people. Many have sought his guidance to help them traverse the murky waters that our emotions and minds can often be. If you ever need to talk, no matter the struggle, he’s your man. Pastor John also leads our Family Groups, which is New Mercy’s version of a small group ministry. He often says, “We are not a church with small groups, but a church of small groups.”

This picture was taken when Pastor Hannah was several months pregnant. We’ll be sure to get a new one posted soon! Pastor Hannah is New Mercy’s on-site physical trainer. A certified instructor for pilates, sport-yoga and physical training, Pastor Hannah firmly believes that God calls us to be good stewards of our bodies. Certainly, she does not advocate being “skinny for Jesus.” Instead, she hopes that people can strive toward physical health as it impacts all other areas of our lives. She also leads our prayer ministry, which means she’s got body and soul covered! Last, but certainly not least, Pastor Hannah runs Mercy Munchkins—our new toddlers ministry!

In her heart-of-hearts, she is a missionary. She also loves investing in the education of our children. Combine both passions, and you have Pastor Patricia, a person who believes our future generation is one of our primary mission fields. Wanting to be the most effective educator possible, she received her masters in education from Princeton Theological Seminary and is currently working on another masters in education at Columbia University. She leads our Mini Mercies children’s program and its team of high-level teachers.
